Get Your Team on Board

Do you feel drawn to leave a legacy for good? Of course you do. Yay you!

So, is your Board on board? How about your Executive Team? Or maybe it’s your Cabinet or Council?

Sure, this is your journey and not necessarily your entire organization’s (yet), but what you do and say has an impact. Plus, people don’t like to be surprised by a big idea they had little or no input into and yet are expected to adopt. They want to feel consulted, heard, valued and respected – and that’s 100 percent fair.

So to pre-empt roadblocks, leverage your efforts, and optimize outcomes, engage teams early and with authenticity, transparency and respect.

  • Tip: If your vision to do good includes vanquishing racism and inequity but your Board/Executive/Cabinet/Council is filled with white, male faces, you might have some extra work to do.

Getting your teams on board from the outset is worth the effort, I promise. More than likely, you’ll find some powerful allies who’ll follow your lead and help you achieve even more, even faster.
